The USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service reports that nearly 3.9 million cattle and calves valued at $3.87 billion were lost to nonpredator and predator causes in 2015. These are the “Items of Note” from the new report, Death Loss in U.S. Cattle and Calves Due to Predator and Nonpredator Causes, 2015.
