Earth One Energy in Gibson City, Ill., was built in 2009 at the peak of the ethanol boom. University of Illinois agricultural economist Scott Irwin said there is “no doubt” an increase in E15 availability and other higher blends would be a boost to corn demand and likely translate to higher corn prices.
