The Hightower Report said, “April hogs closed slightly higher yesterday and near the highs of the day. Open interest increased more than 4200 contracts and has been steadily rising over the last 7 sessions. Bitter cold temperatures coming down into the Midwest and Plains may be a supportive factor again today. Cash hogs were up more than $5 on Tuesday. Hog slaughter continues to run well above a year ago and cutout values have been little changed this week.”
