Look for spring wheat plantings to have advanced to 15% complete, vs. 16% YA and the 5-year average of 12%.” Matthew Lucas at Total Farm Marketing said, “High fertilizer costs are beginning to influence crop decisions across later-harvesting Southern Hemisphere producers, with an industry group in Western Australia signaling a significant reduction in wheat acreage and Argentine growers increasingly questioning their planting intentions.”
