David Bawden's 150-year-old Arena, Wisconsin-area, farm is refurbished. The renovation included updating an old granary.
The Bawden farm house has several modern updates; it's an original Sears home. Between 1908 and 1940 Sears, Roebuck and Co. sold more than 70,000 such homes through its mail-order "Modern Homes" program. In that time Sears designed 447 different housing styles.

ARENA, Wis. – The Bawden farm of Arena has been in the Bawden family since it began as a dairy farm in 1864. It has since evolved to a beef and crop operation, despite current owners David and Jan Bawden not living full-time on the farm.
