Christ Church would create a live nativity scene every year about two weeks before Christmas. The congregation had the perfect location, downtown on the square across from the clock tower. Everyone who drove into the business district went by the front lawn of the church. There was a dilapidated apartment building where migrant laborers lived a few blocks away, but no one could see it from the church.
