For 42 years, the Dakota Farm Show has brought a busyness to the University of South Dakota campus at a time when students are away on break, but the show is searching for a venue outside the university’s DakotaDome for 2027 now that the university has turned its focus to a higher level of athletic competition.
The Dakota Farm Show filled the DakotaDome floor for what may be the last time Jan. 6-8. The University of South Dakota chose to focus on its Division I athletic programs rather than lend the dome to a farm show for the week.
