This spring started out with a lot of weather uncertainty. My patience was tested waiting for a window of opportunity to get the seed in the ground. In the spring you always wonder what the result will be at harvest if you don’t get every seed planted just perfectly, but come to find out all that worrying was for nothing.

Carson Stange is a fifth generation on his farm in Brown County. He and his wife Brooke are in their fourth year of farming, raising corn, soybeans and alfalfa, as well as a hobby heard of cattle. Carson is a member of the current South Dakota Agricultural and Rural Leadership class.
