The devastating derecho storm that swept across the Midwest in 2022 caused significant damage to Strom Farms’ grain system near White, South Dakota. Winds exceeding 100 mph wiped out a grain leg and damaged two grain bin roofs.
The expanded grain storage system at the Strom farm includes four storage bins with a 350,000 bushel capacity. A conveyor runs across the top three dry storage bins to take dry grain from the dryer or directly from the trucks through the receiving leg.
