NDSU Equine Center will host the 12th annual Dakota 50/50 show and sale from October 29-31. This innovative group of breeders has created one of the most successful futurities in the upper midwest. Like most futurities, the colts sold at their annual auction are eligible to compete as 2 year olds. Unlike other futurities, Dakota 50/50 colts are also eligible to compete as 4, 5 and 6 year olds in the Dakota 50/50 “Maturity” competition. This year, the Futurity purse is $18,767.00 and pays out cash to the top 10, class and division prizes and a Trophy Saddle to the High Point Amateur. The top 5 Maturity horses will collect over $3,000.00 and a few other prizes including a Trophy Saddle to the overall winner.
Dakota 50/50 horse sale and show is unlike any other futurity
