Bison are tough creatures that can stand up to the brutal weather and rugged landscape of the prairie. Fencing and working facilities also need to be tough and sturdy for those raising commercial herds.

Fencing is one of the first things to consider when getting into bison. A typical adult stands more than 6 feet tall, and they can jump 6 feet in the air.
Bison cows weigh about 1,000 pounds, and males weigh sbout double that. Facilities for handling bison have to be sturdy.
