“CME Lean Hog Index as of March 26 was 91.18, down 0.28 for the day and down 0.77 versus a week ago,” the Hightower Report said. “This is the lowest since March 11. The USDA estimated hog slaughter came in at 496,000 head Monday. This was up from 492,000 last week and up from 461,011 a year ago.”
