The NDDA has been monitoring permits and health certificates of animals coming into the state for fair and rodeo season, and the department also investigated a possible screwworm case in the state.
“As we go into fair and rodeo season, there’s a lot of the health certificates that we’re monitoring coming into the state from Texas. Some are horses that are coming up for events and we’re doing permits every other day for animals coming from Texas,” said Dr. Ethan Andress, NDDA state veterinarian.
