Sixth-generation Faulk County cattle producer, Damon Becker converted all his crop acres to forage. This summer the forage barley he frost seeded yielded 4.5 tons per acre. After it’s baled, Becker will drill in a warm season cover crop mix that his cattle windrow graze.
