A Wienermobile takes its rightful place at Oscar Mayer headquarters, 910 Mayer Ave. The retired, 1988 version of the hot dog on wheels was permanently installed this week and company officials say the public is welcome to stop by and take a look -- or a photo -- of the iconic vehicle.
A 1988 version of the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile has been permanently installed at the company's headquarters on the East Side. Built on a Chevy van chassis, the vehicle is 23 feet long and available for the public to see. But there's no looking inside -- the doors of the restored Wienermobile have been sealed shut.
