EUROPEAN UNION – In response to intensifying farmer protests, the European Union has made some concessions to try and ease the situation. Following earlier protests in Germany, thousands of farmers blocked the main roads in France with their tractors. Next it was the turn of Belgian farmers; thousands of them and more than 1,300 tractors congregated outside the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium.
