HORICON | The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources’ new interactive displays at Horicon Marsh aim to engage the eyes, ears and noses of visitors as they tell the tale of more than 10,000 years of natural and human history.
Admission will be free for Saturday's grand opening of the Explorium at the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center, N7725 Highway 28, Horicon. The center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends. Explorium admission will be $6 for adults, $4 for children ages 5-17 and free for those 4 or younger. The federal refuge has its own visitor center with interpretive displays at W4279 Headquarters Road on the east side of the marsh. The privately operated Marsh Haven Nature Center is on the north end of the marsh at W10145 Highway 49.
