DULUTH, Minn. – Often in the course of a lifetime we make a transition from one phase of life to another. Sometimes it’s marked with an event or ceremony. We look forward to the happy changes, like weddings and graduations. We dread others like illnesses or funerals. Thinking about it, the transitions that are the most enjoyable in life are those over which we have the most control.

Jason Maloney and Red
Jason Maloney is an “elderly” farm boy from Marinette County, Wisconsin. He’s a retired educator, a retired soldier and a lifelong Wisconsin resident. He lives on the shore of Lake Superior with his wife, Cindy Dillenschneider, and Red, a sturdy loyal Australian Shepherd.
