MADISON, Wis. – In the December meeting of the Wisconsin Agriculture Youth Council, members listened to an agricultural career panel about real-world experiences. Randy Romanski is the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection Secretary. He started the meeting by emphasizing that the agricultural industry is expansive and growing. He also reminded the council how many diverse and unique opportunities there are for people who are looking for a career in agriculture.

Randy Romanski
Logan Harbaugh of Marion, Wisconsin, is a senior at Clintonville High School. He resides on his family’s small dairy-show-heifer farm where they specialize in raising all breeds of dairy cattle to show at local, state and national levels. He’s active in the Clintonville FFA, the Wisconsin Junior Holstein Association and his local 4-H club. Through those organizations he has been able to compete at the national level in dairy jeopardy, dairy quiz bowl and dairy judging. He’s planning to attend a four-year university to study animal science and agricultural business.
