The Hightower Report said, “Nothing to see here in the wheat market today as prices are well within the sideways range this week.” Kevin Stockard at CHS Hedging said, “The Wheat Quality Council Spring Wheat and Durum tour final all wheat yield estimate was 48.3 bushels per acre, down from last year’s record 53.8 bpa. Spring wheat was 49 bpa vs 54.5 last year and a 44.6 five year average.” Amanda Brill at Total Farm Marketing said, “Yesterday’s export sales report saw wheat sales at 26.2 million bushels which was the largest weekly total for the season in two months. Top buyers were Indonesia, Taiwan, and Mexico.” The Hightower Report said, “With shipment pace slowing recently, much of the remaining unshipped sales could be rolled over to new crop at the end of August . New crop sales have been slim so far with China absent.”
